8th Grade Field Trip to Evergreen Adventure Park
8th Grade Field Trip to Evergreen Adventure Park Now Available!
This year, we are inviting all 8th-grade students to join us on June 14th for an end of year culminating activity. We will go to Evergreen Adventure Park in Leesburg, VA. The following information is important if your child decides to attend the trip. This activity will be held during school hours and students will return home at their normal time.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in zip-lining, a ropes course, obstacle courses, world cup soccer, kickball and other backyard games. Students will not be able to use the rock wall. 3 Required documents:
Forms and money collected at lunch during the week of May 7 - May 11 only.
What Parents/Guardians Need to Do
If your child is going on the field trip, complete the Field Trip, the Emergency Care Form and the Park Waiver forms, and send them to school with your student. Copies of the forms are also available in the main office and cafeteria.
All tickets are non-refundable, though they are transferrable for a different date in case your student has an emergency and cannot attend. If your child receives free or reduced lunch and you need financial assistance for this trip, please contact the child’s counselor as soon as possible and the school can work with families for financial assistance.
To assist all of our eligible students to be able to participate, please consider contributing a donation. Please submit this as a separate check with “Evergreen Park Donation” in the memo line. Thank you for your consideration in this if you are able.
At the Park
We will take the trip regardless of the weather, so students should be equipped with appropriate clothing and any other items (water bottle, sunscreen, etc.) that may be useful to them while at the park. Students are encouraged to bring backpacks for important personal belongings. Kilmer is not responsible for any lost items. If you have any questions about this trip, please email Mrs. David at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to a wonderful time with your students!
