Drug Take Back Day

Operation Medicine Cabinet Cleanout is Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10 am - 2 pm. In conjunction with the DEA National Drug Prescription Take Back Initiative, this is a good opportunity to dispose of unused or expired medication. 

  • Drop off unused or expired medications at Fairfax County Police district station (pills or liquids only, no pressurized canisters or needles) 
  • Disposal is free, convenient, confidential and safe
  • Safe handling of unused or expired medication: 
    • Prevents accidental poisoning 
    • Protects the environment 
    • Prevents drug abuse
