Principal Selection - Community Meeting

Where: Kilmer Middle School, GIR

As we begin the search for a new principal for Kilmer Middle School, an important step in this procedure is to inform parents and community members about the principal selection process.  Therefore, all Kilmer Middle School parents, staff, and community members are invited to attend an important meeting on Thursday, December 5, at 5:30 p.m. at Kilmer Middle School.  This meeting will go over the step-by-step process for selecting our new principal.  I will be in attendance at the meeting along with Ms. Penny Gros, Executive Principal for Region 2, as well as individuals from our Human Resources Department.  We certainly hope that you will be able to attend this meeting.

Another critical component to the process is your written input.  We invite you to offer your individual, written input (preferably via email) regarding the skills, experience, and leadership characteristics needed for Kilmer Middle School.  You might also address any challenges or issues that a new principal will need to address.  Input is confidential and will not be discussed at the meeting.  We welcome your input now, upon receipt of this letter, and are hopeful that many of you will share your thoughts.  Please e-mail your ideas to @email or mail your suggestions to Adam McGeehan in Human Resources, 8115 Gatehouse Road, Falls Church, VA   22042-1203 by Friday, December 13.  Suggestions for input are located below.
