Anime Club
Anime Club is intended to provide interested students an opportunity to share their love of Japanese animation/comics and to learn about various facets of anime and Japanese culture. Students will have the opportunity to learn new animation techniques and share original artwork and writing. In addition, students will learn about Japanese culture and customs, and spoken Japanese words and phrases.

Appian Board Game Club
The Appian Board Game Club is an after school program for middle school students. By playing tabletop strategy games, students develop critical-thinking skills while engaged in a fun and challenging activity. Students also have an opportunity to practice important social skills like cooperation, negotiation, and communication. Helping young people to develop these skills will give them the tools they need to achieve success both in the classroom and throughout their lives.

Art Club - Open Studio
Art Club offers a space for students to create new art work or continue artwork they have started during the day here at Kilmer. It is an open studio space that will give students access to art materials, fellow artists and the art teacher here at Kilmer. Art Club is also an opportunity for additional feedback and instruction about art.

Best Buddies
By joining Best Buddies, you will become part of a growing movement of people with and without disabilities, dedicated to ensuring everyone makes a friend. Students with and without disabilities are invited to serve as chapter leaders who plan events and engaging opportunities for members. At least four group activities are held each year both in school and outside of school. Some examples are pizza parties, bowling outings, kickball games, and ice cream socials. Each chapter determines their own activities based on availability of the members. Most importantly, members will be “matched” in a one-to-one friendship with another student from their middle/high school or peer-aged participant in the community at the college level.

Capitol Debate
This is a great way for students to continue enhancing their debate skills after camp is over and a key building block in reaping the full benefits that debate and public speaking training have to offer. Both returning and new students should expect an educational and competitive experience.

Chess Club
Chess develops logical thinking. Chess requires some understanding of logical strategy. Kids will learn to evaluate the results of specific actions and sequences. Does this sequence help me win or lose the game? Decisions are better when guided by logic, rather than impulse.

Food for Others Power Pack Program (P3)
P3 allows us to provide elementary students with a pack of food they can bring home and eat over the weekend. Many students in our area have little to eat between their lunch at school on Friday and the breakfast that is served Monday morning. Packs are assembled by Kilmer students for Freedom Hill students. The pack, which contains 2 items each for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus 2 snacks and 2 drinks, will help alleviate the students hunger and allow them to focus more on their school work.

Girls' Friendship Circle
Girls Circle is a safe space in which girls can share thoughts, feelings, while they make new friends. We’ll meet once a week for 8 weeks to explore topics such as learning more about our own best qualities, being a better friend, and identifying friendship problems and solutions through art, role-playing, and discussions. We’ll end the group with a celebration planned by group members.

Go Club
Go is a board game involving two players that originated in ancient China. The two players alternately place stones, on the vacant intersections of a board. The objective of the game is to surround a larger area of the board with stones than the opponent.

iCan Bike

Model United Nations
Are you the best diplomat? Do you have a desire to learn and practice how to solve global crises and build leadership skills? Join the Model United Nations today and become an ambassador for international relations and diplomacy! Academic simulation of the United Nations - Students research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems.
