Student Schedules

Student course schedules will be available in SIS StudentVue and ParentVue on Wednesday, September 2. Students can access their StudentVue through the StudentVue icon on their FCPS laptop.

Virtual Open House

On Thursday, September 3, we will be hosting a Virtual Open House from 1:00-3:00 PM. This is an opportunity for students to practice finding their course links in Schoology and to meet their teachers prior to the first day of school. We highly encourage students to participate in the Virtual Open House.

On Tuesday, September 1, parents and students will receive an email with directions for accessing Schoology and a bell schedule for the Virtual Open House. Each class will be ten minutes..

Schoology

Kilmer is a pilot school for the Schoology Learning Management System. Below are some important points about Schoology:

  • Schoology is accessible to both students and parents.
  • Students will access all of their courses through Schoology.
  • Students will access Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BBCU) links for their classes through Schoology (no more emails with links).
  • Every course will have materials organized by folder and every teacher will have a “Start Here” folder.
  • Students will be able to access Student Services and Teacher Office Hours through the “All Students Kilmer Middle School” course.
  • Parents will have access to Schoology starting September 2. At that time, parents will start to receive notifications as teachers post materials to their courses. Parents can adjust notifications to their level of preference.
  • Parent information on Schoology, including how to adjust your notifications, can be found on the Kilmer website under the “Schoology Parent and Guardian Support Resources” announcement.
