Civics students worked collaboratively to design Tiny Home Communities and convince the public why they would be a benefit to the community. The goal of the NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) project is to turn negative reactions into a positive (YIMBY - Yes In My Back Yard). Students applied concepts about local government and policy to their work.

Thirteen Kilmer Orchestra students participated in the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association - District XII - Solo and Ensemble Festival.
